Blueberry-flavored iced coffee is surprisingly delicious. I used to have to go to Dunkin’ Donuts for a cup, but now I make my own, right at home. For the best flavor, make ice cubes from the coffee itself, so the strength of the coffee doesn’t dilute. Step-by-step directions and pictures below. Refresh and enjoy!
Blueberry-flavored iced coffee Recipe

INGREDIENTS:
- whole bean coffee (dark but not too dark roast)
- dried blueberries
- fresh blueberries
- half-and-half (for a healthier version, skim milk)
- sugar in the raw
DIRECTIONS:
1. Grind together the dried blueberries and coffee beans in a coffee grinder, until the mixture is fine.
2. Brew the coffee stronger than your normal morning batch– makes for a better iced coffee.
3. Let the coffee cool to room temperature.
4. Reserve some of the coffee to make coffee ice cubes. That way you have coffee that doesn’t get watered down.
3. Get a simple syrup going by bringing equal parts of sugar, water, and fresh blueberries to a simmer over medium heat (stir occasionally for 8 – 10 minutes). Let the syrup cool.
4. In a big pitcher, combine the cooled brewed coffee with some of the syrup. Taste and adjust the amount of syrup to your liking.
5. When you are ready to drink, add some of the chilled coffee to a big glass with a few of the coffee iced cubes and half-and-half or skim milk.
