    This summer season let's fight the hot sun with a chill homemade Mango Juice Recipe.I drink water. Loads and loads and loads of water. You’d think I would have washed away by now. Thankfully I have the body requirement of cholesterol in my skin to keep me from spilling out. I do like to mix up my water intake sometimes.Variety is the spice of life right? Sometimes I will make herbal teas too. Oh, I know. I am living on the edge now. A little kombucha cocktail is also a fave bevvy (more on that soon).What about a mango Juice?

    Sometimes, though, I want more than water. That’s right. I am telling you that often I drink more than water. Sometimes I like a glass of wine. Now I am not going to pretend that I drink wine because it is in any way a responsible means for supporting heart health or boosting my antioxidant levels.Mangoes, limes, and melons are vitamin-rich fruits that produce an alkaline in the stomach when eaten.

    I don’t subscribe to that letter of the day. I drink it ’cause I love it. I drink it once or twice a month, a glass or two, because I enjoy it.

    Last weekend, when the weather went all wonkily warm for early , the boy and I decided to do a picnic in the park for dinner and I wanted some wine. Wine was not available as it was Good Friday and so I concocted another sweet elixir. I used fresh as fresh could be fruits that I had kicking about, threw in some super foods and then a wee itty splash of vodka to give it a good little warming in the belly kick. 

    Why do I have vodka in the house? For making medicinal tinctures of course, and for my ice cream maker free coconut milk ie cream . Now obviously, the vodka in this recipe is purely optional.

    This sweet treat is so easy to whip up and so delicious that I would recommend making up a  little mix like this (without the booze) and keeping it stored in a glass bottle or jar in your fridge for a few days as a quick and easy smoothie base, already mixed.

    Even better, freeze it in individual ice cube trays and you will never be without fresh fruit/veggies for your smoothies. Yes, you can buy frozen smoothie block, but when they are so easy to make yourself, why would you?

    Now if you have hopped on the green smoothie train, you know that having a blend that is just fruit is seriously like sipping on liquid sugar. This girl is sweet!

    • 1 Mango
    • 2 cups strawberries
    • 2 Tbs gogi berries
    • juice of 1 lime
    • 2 cups of water
    • 2-4 oz of vodka (very very optional)
