    Banana nut chips

Banana nut chips are crunchy and sweet, they taste just like a fresh banana. These snacks are widely available in the market and are one of the most popular types of snack foods.

Bananas are delightfully sweet and oven-drying them just intensifies their flavor and gives them a chewy texture. While these dried banana chips don't have anything on fried plantains, in terms of texture or taste, they are much healthier and far superior to store-bought dried bananas, Below is a sweet flavoring idea, but feel free to experiment with savory herbs and spices or other fruits, Enjoy.

    Ingredients

    • 3 slightly underripe bananas
    • 1 lemon (Note: I forgot to squeeze the fresh lemon juice over the banana slices, which is they look brownish in the picture above. Hopefully, your chips will look nice and yellow)
    • 1.5 oz salted peanuts
    • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • 1 teaspoon sugar in the raw

    Directions

    • Cut the bananas into thin slices. Squeeze some lemon juice over to prevent browning.
    • Grind the peanuts in a clean coffee grinder.
    • Mix together the ground peanuts with the cinnamon and sugar.
    • . Sprinkle the mixture over the sliced bananas.
    • . Arrange the slices in a single layer on your food dehydrator tray.
    • Dehydrate for 10 to 17 hours at 135 degrees F, or until they are completely dry.
    • Remove and let cool. Store in an airtight container.
    • Note: If you don’t have a dehydrator, use your oven, and preheat to 225 degrees F. Arrange the banana slices in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and sprinkle with the cinnamon/sugar/nut mixture. Bake the banana slices, turning every hour, until dry, 4 to 8 hours (depends if you want like them chewy or crunchy). Remove and transfer to racks to cool.

Banana nut chips are a very popular snack, especially in the United States. They're also a good source of vitamin B6 and protein. But what exactly is it? It's actually a type of nut, which is not something you'd expect to find in a snack food.
