    banana chips

Nut Banana chips are crunchy and sweet, they taste just like a fresh banana. These snacks are widely available in the market and are one of the most popular types of snack foods.

Bananas are delightfully sweet and oven-drying them just intensifies their flavor and gives them a chewy texture. While these dried banana chips don't have anything on fried plantains, in terms of texture or taste, they are much healthier and far superior to store-bought dried bananas, Below is a sweet flavoring idea, but feel free to experiment with savory herbs and spices or other fruits, Enjoy.

    Nut Banana chips

    Ingredients

    • 3 slightly underripe bananas
    • 1 lemon (Note: I forgot to squeeze the fresh lemon juice over the banana slices, which is they look brownish in the picture above. Hopefully, your chips will look nice and yellow)
    • 1.5 oz salted peanuts
    • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • 1 teaspoon sugar in the raw

    Directions

    • Cut the bananas into thin slices. Squeeze some lemon juice over to prevent browning.
    • Grind the peanuts in a clean coffee grinder.
    • Mix together the ground peanuts with the cinnamon and sugar.
    • . Sprinkle the mixture over the sliced bananas.
    • . Arrange the slices in a single layer on your food dehydrator tray.
    • Dehydrate for 10 to 17 hours at 135 degrees F, or until they are completely dry.
    • Remove and let cool. Store in an airtight container.
    • Note: If you don’t have a dehydrator, use your oven, and preheat to 225 degrees F. Arrange the banana slices in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and sprinkle with the cinnamon/sugar/nut mixture. Bake the banana slices, turning every hour, until dry, 4 to 8 hours (depends if you want like them chewy or crunchy). Remove and transfer to racks to cool.

Banana nut chips are a very popular snack, especially in the United States. They're also a good source of vitamin B6 and protein. But what exactly is it? It's actually a type of nut, which is not something you'd expect to find in a snack food.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Do banana chips cause weight gain?

The majority of the calories—25 and 14 grams, respectively—come from fat and carbohydrates. These two nutrients both function as potent energy providers. This means that eating a lot of banana chips can result in weight gain, but it also means that banana chips can keep your body fed in between meals.

Are dried banana chips a healthy snack?

Despite their initial appearance, banana chips can be incredibly calorie, saturated fat, and added sugar dense. Look for dehydrated, non-fried, sugar-free banana chips as a healthy substitute. Even better, select a full banana. If you choose to consume banana chips, watch how much you eat.

    Is homemade banana chips healthy?

When prepared healthily, homemade banana chips can serve as a tasty and nutritious snack. You may get potassium from this crunchy snack, a mineral that is excellent for regulating blood pressure. The nutrient fibre, which can support a healthy digestive tract and stave against constipation, is abundant in bananas.

Are banana chips good for weight loss?

Dieters are grateful that they are almost fat-free. If you consume dried banana chips in moderation and remember to rinse your teeth afterward, they offer a relatively nutritious snack or dessert. However, you can obtain the same nutritional advantages from fresh bananas without increasing your fat intake.
