- All purpose flour: 100g.
- Apple: 2.
- Clarified Butter: for frying.
- Water: to make batter.
- Baking soda: ¼ teaspoon.
- Pistachios and rose petals: for garnishing.
For sugar syrup:
- Sugar:1 ½ cups.
- Water:1 cup.
- Saffron: ¼ teaspoon.
- Cardamom powder: ½ teaspoon.
- Rose water: 1 teaspoon.
In a large bowl take all purpose flour and baking soda. Add water and make batter to make jalebi. Mix it well and get rid of any lumps. The batter should not be very watery. Now keep it aside for 15-20 minutes. Mix flour, baking soda, water and make batter for jalebis. Wash apples and peel off skin with potato peeler. Slice the apples into around 1 cm thick slices. Cut apple into slices. In a frying pan heat clarified butter or ghee. Dip apple slices in the batter and fry 2-3 slices at a time, till it becomes light golden brown from both the sides. 1. In a heavy bottom pan take sugar and water and heat it, so that sugar dissolves in water.
2. Add cardamom powder, saffron, rose water and let the syrup boil for 2 minutes.
